Highway Racer is a Facebook based casual game where you have to navigate your car through traffic and go as far as possible as fast as possible to rack up a good score for yourself. The game is really enjoyable due to the fast paced gameplay and variety available and is sure to provide anyone who tries it long hours of enjoyment.

The game doesn’t have a tutorial of any kind that starts up when you play the game for the first time but a tutorial for this game isn’t really necessary as the control scheme is quite easy to get the hang of and the general gameplay is fairly simple. After one or two rounds you’ll be navigating through the game just fine and this relatively short learning curve means you’ll able to enjoy the game to its fullest very quickly.

Gameplay in Highway Racer is quite simple yet quite addictive. Your goal is to navigate your car through each course while avoiding any traffic that comes by. You gain extra points when you just barely miss the traffic which is why this game can be considered a sort of high risk-high reward kind. As the game progresses, your car’s speed will keep increasing which will make it harder and harder for you to keep on track. Once your car finally collides with another, the round will conclude and you will be awarded with points that will vary depending on how many close calls you had and what your average speed was throughout the entire run.

To keep players interested, Highway Racer has four different kinds of game modes. There are the standard one way and two way modes but alongside these are the other one way and two way modes where you’ll be chased by the cops. These modes are especially hard because of all the police cars trying to stop you in your tracks but they provide a nice challenge to those who’ve become adept at the game.

Graphically speaking, Highway Racer excels at some places leaves a bit to be desired in others. The game has a lot of cars and they all look really good and can even be repainted according to your preferences but other than this, the textures of the game look blurry and the traffic seems repetitive with the same cars coming in your way over and over again.

There aren’t any major micro-transactions to mention, you’ll be able to buy the regular currency with real world money and that’s about it. There isn’t any premium currency or so to keep track of either.
