One may think that Lost Race is a fantasy game about a lost race of powerful beings, but it is a lot simpler than that. This game is simply a car racing application in Facebook, but don’t take it lightly. There are tons of fun stuff you can get out of this game despite its simplicity.

This game puts you in control of a red car that, at the beginning, seems to be just another vehicle in the highway. However, you’ll soon find that there are cars stopped in the middle of the road that you have to avoid, or else you will find yourself in a heads-on collision that will take away a part of your car’s health with it.

Using the directional arrow buttons on your computer’s keyboard, you can steer the vehicle to the right and to the left of the highway to avoid the stopped cars. However, that is not the only challenge you will have to face. You will soon find that, by changing lanes, you will actually be going against the flow of traffic. This means that other cars are now moving towards you, and a collision is inevitable if you don’t swerve right or left again.

The game rewards you by driving as far as you can with your limited health and with the obstacles in front of you. However, there is also a bonus if you are able to ram and push other cars aside. This is tricky, and could be damaging to your vehicle if you are not able to time it right. You simply wait until you pass by the front or rear fender of the car you want to push over, and press the directional button to change lane.

With plenty of cars in the highway, you’ll wonder how you can make it as far as you can because ramming cars or pushing them over can result to damage. You can actually find power-ups at the side of the road. Yes, unlike other games, you can still run your vehicle on the sides of the highway without suffering reductions in speed.

Speed is actually constant, and you can accelerate by pressing the Up button.

There are various power ups. You have the Health power-up that restores your car’s health by a certain amount. There is also a power-up that gives your car blades that protrude from the front fender. This makes it possible for you to ram other cars without suffering significant damage. You can find out about the power-ups at the start of the game, before you get into the actual playing portion.

In a nutshell, Lost Race is a very simple game that should satisfy those people who are looking for a way to pass a few minutes of time at Facebook. There are very few rules to memorize in this game, so it should save you the headaches and just let you enjoy the game as it is.

Graphics are very simple. Curiously though, the game features a very engaging soundtrack that should get you in the right mood to drive against traffic and ram cars aside.
