Open Crescent Solitaire is an amazing game that's based on the traditional Klondike style of play but it makes some massive changes of its own to make for a really unique experience that's certain to impress all thanks to the distinct gameplay and the few extra features that it packs.

Although it might not have a dedicated tutorial to help newcomers out, that isn't necessarily an issue as the game is relatively simple to get the hang of but on top of that there's always a help tab that players can click on to view how they're supposed to play the game so overall, new players won't have any issues getting settled into things.

The gameplay, as implied before, is built around the concepts of the Klondike style of solitaire gameplay. The objective and play-style however has been given a pretty big twist to make the game feel distinct and stand out. Players will be given two rows of four cards in the middle and these will be encircled by sixteen columns of cards. The cards in the upper row of the middle area must be placed in descending order and in the lower row you must place the cards in ascending order.

Once full ascending/descending sets are complete for each row then the game will conclude and you'll be given points depending upon how you did. There are also the hint and shuffle features that players can use if they ever get stuck and need help moving forward but the catch is that there's a limited amount of these available in each turn so players must be really careful when using them.

There are also in-game tournaments where players can go against live players from around the world where the winner is the person who can complete the objective the quickest. The winner of the tournament gets a massive amount of points which can help that player solidify a spot in the global rankings.

As for its looks, Open Crescent Solitaire chooses to go for a bit of a minimalistic style which pays off quite nicely as the game looks simple but elegant. The cards have really sharp design so overall it's pretty nice to look at.

There are no micro-transactions in the game to speak of which is overall a nice thing as it makes sure that all players are on a level playing field. Open Crescent Solitaire is a really nice twist on the traditional solitaire style so it's sure to impress all who try it out.
