Fables of the Kingdom III Collector’s Edition is a time and resource management game from the Fables of the Kingdom series developed by Sofka Studios (previously known as Owl Studios). In this game, the world is under threat again as the heroes receive news from their elven friends that a terrible crystalline force has begun its ascend from deep within the earth to absorb power from the Tree of Life.

Join the heroes as they set out on a dangerous journey to Fire Mountain to retrieve a powerful artifact called the Heart of the Elements, which is the only thing powerful enough to stop the evil sorcerer Balen who has returned and is behind the chaos that is happening in the lands. But the road ahead is filled with obstacles and all manner of threats, and they will have to keep their wits about them to make it through to the end!

The mechanics of the game is simple enough, and yet requires the player to properly manage their time and resources to clear each level well. First of all, simply click on objects strewn along the path to instruct your worker to interact with it. In the case of a roadblock, your worker will require some food to give them the energy to remove it from the path. You can also collect food and wood that are left around for use later.

Besides picking up food from the ground, tell your workers to pick berries from berry bushes, and keep an eye out as the berries will ripen again for picking after a short time. You can earn up to a maximum of 3 stars for each level, depending on the time you take to complete it, so be sure to do the required objective and tasks quickly. If you get 3 stars for a level, you will also receive a part of a picture in the Hall of Heroes!

Additionally, there are three barely visible coins hidden around the map in each level. If you can find them, do not forget to pick them up as they are important to unlocking the bonus levels after you complete the main game. In the Main menu, you can access the bonus chapters once you have finished the main story, and you can also have a look at your achievements, wallpapers for the game, and the Hall of Heroes which shows the portraits that you have collected!

If you are just looking to have a chill time and want to experience more relaxed gameplay, you can always switch to the Untimed mode, which will remove the timer from the top and allow you to take your time clearing each level. Of course, you will not be able to earn time-related achievements by doing so.

As with the previous games in the series, Fables of the Kingdom III Collector’s Edition is home to beautifully designed illustrations and atmospheric background music.
